I
have been interested in mechanics/technology from my youth and also
worked with vintage cars for 35 years.
An ever-recurring problem we have
in our latitudes is rust in particular. A lot of people know the
challenge it can be to remove rust from metal surfaces, it requires a
lot of work, especially on surfaces that are not smooth. In my fight
against rust, I have used sandpaper, rotary tools and sanding machines,
but all of them are time-consuming and you can't get to the bottom of
the rust without sanding off some fresh metal. In addition, it is a
process that dusts and messes up a lot and requires the use of some form
of respiratory protection.
An
alternative method of rust removal is with acid. It is effective
against rust, but if you do not monitor the process, you risk destroying
the items. Acid emits harmful fumes and requires a lot of protective
equipment to be safe to use. The disadvantage of acid is also that it
attacks materials other than rust, such as steel, aluminum, gaskets and
many other materials.
Then there is electrolysis that can be used to
remove rust. This method is non-toxic and inexpensive, but it requires
electricity. However, the method has a disadvantage and that is that it
produces explosive gas, which is very explosive when the concentration
becomes too high.
In
2018 - 2019 I was looking for products in Europe with similar
properties as Evapo-Rust has, but I did not manage to find anything that
could solve my problem. However, there was one product that kept
popping up in my searches, and that was Evapo-Rust. The information I
found online and especially on Youtube about Evapo-Rust was exactly what
it was looking for, but it was not to be found here in Denmark or
Europe. I therefore contacted Evapo-Rust in the United States with a wish
to start selling it here in the EU, and I got the agency for the product in
December 2019.
Since
then, many thousands of litres have been sold to both private and
business customers, all of whom are very enthusiastic users of the
product.
